Art Education: BFA and MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I’ve also traveled to different states like New York for painting and drawing workshops.
Style: I have a traditional style, and I like to use a variety of colors in my paintings.
Creative Spark: I am inspired by master artists such as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. I also like to watch movies and cartoons to find my inspiration.
Second-Choice Career: I would be a chef. I love to eat. And I think making food is a lot like making paintings.
Other Passions: Running, yoga, surfing, rock-climbing, swimming, and traveling.
One Thing People Don’t Know About You: I lived in San Francisco for eight years. I have been painting for seven years.
Best Advice Received: “Believe in yourself and that you can do it.”
Biggest Fear: That no one will like my work one day.
Pet Peeve: I stare at my work and think, “Why can’t I make my art look like the old masters?”
Quirkiest Trait: I like to stare at beautiful people and things.
Favorite Work by Another Artist: Any works by David Yang or Rachel Moseley.
Future Goals: To get represented by a gallery and to teach kids and adults oil painting.
