Massachusetts
Art Education: I completed the rigorous classical observational training at the Academy of Realist Art Boston.
Style: Realistic and impressionistic.
Creative Spark: Nature is a constant source of inspiration, the greatest architect, and utterly limitless.
Second-Choice Career: I teach the classical principles of painting and drawing at the Academy of Realist Art Boston. I always wanted to be an instructor, if not a professional artist. I feel fortunate that I am able to be both.
Other Passions: To create a more intimate relationship with painting, I embarked on a journey that led me to make all of my own pigments by hand.
One Thing People Don’t Know About You: Philosophy and theology are as important to me as drawing and painting.
Best Advice Received: Rest satisfied with doing well, and leave others to talk of you as they please.
Pet Peeve: Pontificating and promulgating false information.
Mantra or Motto: Do unto others as you would have done to you.
Favorite Studio Music: During the pandemic, I have found audiobooks more stimulating than music. When I do listen to music, it’s classical, mostly Bach, Tchaikovsky, and Chopin.
Favorite Work by Another Artist: THE MIRACLES OF SAINT FRANCIS XAVIER by Peter Paul Rubens.
Future Goals: To paint large-scale allegorical and historical paintings like my predecessors did.
Price Range: $500 to $15,000.
