California
Art Education: Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and drawing from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Style: Impressionistic realism.
Creative Spark: Nature and light are my biggest inspirations. Being outdoors is a deeply spiritual experience for me. I also love the interesting textures of old buildings. They hint at a long and interesting history of people from another time.
Second-Choice Career: I think I would want to be a park ranger. It would be so wonderful to live in a national park among all the breathtaking sights.
Other Passions: I always want to go camping. I enjoy hiking, stargazing, kayaking, swimming, tree-climbing, and campfire stories. Most of all, I love to travel.
One Thing People Don’t Know About You: I almost went to school for environmental science instead of art.
Biggest Fear: Messing up a painting, and spiders.
Pet Peeve: When people ask me what I will do with my degree. Just to clear it up—I plan on painting with my painting degree.
Quirkiest Trait: I have the hardest time eating the last bite of any meal, regardless of its size. Even if it’s just a banana, that one bite is just too much.
Mantra or Motto: Take a deep breath (maybe three) and just do it.
Future Goals: Quit my day job, travel the world, and paint as I go. I want to start by road-tripping around the United States. After that, I think I would like to visit New Zealand, and then China or Peru.
Price Range: $100 to $1,500.
