Young artist to watch in 2022
State in Which You Reside: Oregon.
Art Education: Bachelor’s degree in art education from North Dakota State University.
Style: I love bold, thick paint application and keeping it loose and painterly.
Creative Spark: Being in nature fuels my creativity, and painting is how I process the world around me.
Second-Choice Career: In an alternate life I’d love to flip or design houses.
Other Passions: Anything outdoors—rock climbing, tennis, camping, skiing. I also love sewing and have been making my own clothes.
One Thing People Don’t Know About You: I went to college for math and came out with an art degree.
Best Art Advice Received: Let the paint have a voice. There’s a reason you’re painting a subject as opposed to taking a photo.
Biggest Fear: Public speaking. I’m pretty shy and don’t like being the center of attention.
Pet Peeve: When airline passengers immediately jump out of their seats after touchdown and try to cut in front of you.
Quirkiest Trait: I’m always singing! Everything can be made into a song. My husband and I have a song to describe everything our dog does.
Mantra or Motto: You get out what you put in.
Favorite Studio Music: NEEDTOBREATHE.
Favorite Work by Another Artist: Van Gogh’s WHEAT FIELD WITH CYPRESSES.
Future Goals: I want to own enough land for a hobby farm with chickens, goats, and maybe even a horse.
Price Range: $100 to $5,000.
Representation: www.taylormanoles.com.
