New York
Art Education: I graduated from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY, with a bachelor’s degree in studio art. I then moved to San Francisco and attended the Academy of Art University. I graduated in 2012 with a master of fine arts in painting.
Style: Contemporary.
Creative Spark: I have a deep appreciation for the beauty in everyday objects. If the morning sunshine comes in through the window and glistens on the side of my coffee cup, I start snapping reference photos, which end up in an overflowing file on my external hard drive.
Second-Choice Career: Cake decorator.
Other Passions: I spend a lot of time outdoors and must go hiking every so often. Fresh air and nature make me happy. I adore dogs. I have a mini-poodle mix that travels everywhere with me. He drove across the country with me and has even accompanied me on airplane rides. I love cooking and baking. I remember spending six hours in the kitchen one Sunday, and I cooked a four-course meal. It was so therapeutic.
One Thing Most People Don’t Know About You: I have never owned a credit card.
Best Advice Received: Always believe in yourself and your work.
Biggest Fear: Snakes: No matter how many times I encounter them while hiking, they terrify me.
Price Range: $85 to $1,300.
