From: New Jersey
Art Education: Up until the pandemic, I was studying at the Florence Academy of Art U.S.
Style: Contemporary landscape painter. There are lots of “isms” that get tossed around in art, but I draw from many different artistic traditions, and they all inform my work.
Creative Spark: I’m inspired by the outdoors and the countryside, away from the hum of modern life.
Second-Choice Career: Architect.
Other Passions: I am interested in cinema, history, philosophy, and exercise.
One Thing People Don’t Know About You: I think people are surprised at how much of a goofball I can be when they get to know me. Also, I am bilingual. Polish is my first language.
Best Advice Received: Just keep going. Failure is not getting back up.
Biggest Fear: Regret.
Favorite Studio Music: I have eclectic taste that dips into most genres. I like telling people about the band Rainbow Kitten Surprise due to the ridiculous-sounding name, but they make great music.
Favorite Work by Another Artist: RYE by Ivan Shishkin.
Future Goals: I aim to keep working on a sustainable practice that allows me to paint and live a good life. I think painting can bring a lot of meaning and fulfillment.
Price Range: $1,000 to $4,000.
Representation: Williams Fine Art Dealers, Wenham, MA; Collins Galleries, Orleans, MA; Ann Long Fine Art, Charleston, SC; www.patrickokrasinski.com.
