From: California.
Art Education: BFA in drawing and painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I am currently pursuing my MFA at the academy.
Style: Representational. Realism. Urban landscape.
Creative Spark: In the Bay Area where I live, every structure and every mood of the city gives me great inspiration. I love to walk around San Francisco and look at different buildings. Lighting on form, atmosphere, color, and composition are what inspires me.
Second-Choice Career: Food stylist.
Other Passions: Photography and traveling.
Best Advice Received: Don’t be afraid or worry too much about what you are doing. Believe in yourself and you will get it one day.
Biggest Fear: Losing my passion for creating art. If it happens to me, I am lost.
Pet Peeve: Noise from outside when I am working on a painting in the studio.
Quirkiest Trait: Humming when I focus on a subject and when I am in a good mood.
Favorite Studio Music: It depends on my mood. I usually listen to something familiar.
Favorite Work by Another Artist: Any artworks by Edward Hopper, Wayne Thiebaud, Claude Monet, and Greg Gandy.
Future Goals: Keep painting and showing my art. I hope to have representation from galleries and have my own art gallery one day in the future.
