New York
Art Education: Although I have just graduated high school, I have taken lessons and workshops outside of school. The mentors that have influenced me most are Michelle Dunaway, Robert Liberace, Scott Burdick, Steve Carpenter, and Christian Kolupski.
Style: Representational.
Creative Spark: The encouragement from the fantastic art community here in Rochester inspires me. Workshops at the annual Art of the Portrait Conference have inspired me more than I could say.
One Thing People Don’t Know About You: Most people are surprised to find that I am completely open to critique. Many adults assume that it will hurt my feelings because I am young.
Biggest Fear: Since opportunities have been coming my way so soon and so quickly, I am cautious and anxious about managing all these great things. From working alongside my idols to teaching workshops, I am nervous every time. But I always decide to jump in with confidence.
Quirkiest Trait: I hold my pencil funny. I have always written and drawn with all my fingers on the pencil.
Mantra or Motto: Enjoy the precious present.
Favorite Studio Music: It drifts from movie soundtracks to Pink to Michael Bublé to show tunes.
Future Goals: Successfully completing my bachelor of fine arts degree and combining a career in illustration with a career in the fine arts; selling my work in galleries, teaching workshops, and traveling abroad. And someday having a family and continuing my art career.
Price Range: $250 to $2,000.
