Art Education: Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University.

Style: Mostly contemporary realism, but sometimes I paint in a more abstract manner where texture plays a big role in creating the illusion of depth.

Creative Spark: Other artists, life, hobbies, people-watching, and nature.

Second-Choice Career: I would say a professional golfer. I started playing golf when I was 6 years old, and it’s been a passion of mine ever since. There were definitely times when I thought about making it my career.

Other Passions: Carpentry, music, and golf.

One Thing People Don’t Know About You: I love cold weather with lots of fog.

Biggest Fear: A fast-approaching deadline.

Pet Peeve: When someone is talking about a painting and refers to it as a drawing. For example, “You drew that?”

Quirkiest Trait: I whistle from time to time and sometimes talk in weird voices.

Mantra or Motto: From St. Francis of Assisi: “He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.”

Favorite Studio Music:
I listen to a bit of everything, including Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Halen, Pink Floyd, Bad Company, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and so many more.

Favorite Work by Another Artist: Artworks by Andrew Wyeth.

Future Goals: Continue to develop my painting skills enough to one day be able to paint full time.

Price Range: $250 to $3,500.
