Pastel in Grey by Ann Huston
From March 27 through June 24, the Showing at 1629 Club at Casa Rondena Winery presents Taos Connection, featuring works by Taos husband-and-wife artists Ann Huston and Ed Sandoval. An opening reception with the artists is from 5 to 8 pm. on Wednesday, April 18.
Huston’s elegant pastel paintings on sandpaper capture the tranquility and mystery found in the New Mexico landscape and serve as reflections of the human internal landscape. Sandoval’s red-undercoated canvases come to life in his signature viejito (old-man) and “old New Mexico” landscape oil paintings.
