Winter Orchstration, Markleeville Coda by Charles Muench
The 100th annual Gold Medal Juried Exhibition unfolded on April 2 at the Pasadena Museum of California Art. The show draws top artists from California and beyond. This year’s event featured 154 painters and sculptors. Best of Show honors went to Steve Huston. Charles Muench took home Southwest Art’s Award of Excellence for his snowy California landscape, WINTER ORCHESTRATION, MARKLEEVILLE CODA. Other top award winners included Richard Schmid, Jeremy Lipking, West Fraser, and Mian Situ. –Bonnie Gangelhoff
