Since its launch 18 years ago, the annual Pastel 100 competition has attracted some of the best and brightest artists working in pastels today. Sponsored by Pastel Journal, a sister publication to Southwest Art, the competition invites pastel painters from around the world to submit their finest work in any of five categories: landscape and interior; portrait and figure; still life and floral; animal and wildlife; abstract and nonobjective.
