Soon Warren says she spotted the bicycle she eventually depicted in LEFT IT ALONE on a recent summer trip to Whistler Mountain in Canada. The bicycle was lying on the ground next to a bike rack, as if someone forgot to put it in the right place. For Warren, the shadows were intriguing and so was the composition. She was soon snapping reference photographs.
The Texas-based oil and watercolor artist says a good composition is what usually catches her attention and inspires her works. LEFT IT ALONE is also featured in a book Warren authored, Painting Vibrant Watercolors: Discover the Magic of Light, Color and Contrast (published by North Light Books). Warren received her associate’s degree in commercial art from Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton, VA. She is represented by Southwest Gallery, Dallas, TX; Your Private Collection Art Gallery, Granbury, TX; Brian Drake Studio and Gallery, Stephenville, TX; and www.soonwarren.com.
