ART EDUCATION: The bulk of my training was from Ken Roth, an Oregon painter. I also studied with my aunt, Jill Wilson, who was an instructor at the local community college. And loads and loads of art books.
STYLE: Contemporary impressionism.
MOST INTERESTING THING ABOUT THE WAY YOU WORK: Most all of it is done on location.
SECOND-CHOICE CAREER: I have never put much thought into that, but probably a frame builder.
BEST ADVICE RECEIVED: Keep painting and stay with it.
CREATIVE SPARK: Seeing that perfect motif while you are out painting. The sight of something beautiful.
ONE THING MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU: I have a passion for canned oysters.
FUTURE GOALS: I would love to someday sell out a show. I think that would be great.
PRICE RANGE: $850 to $4,000.
