Santa Fe, NM | The Blue Series: New Portraits by Sean Diediker is on display at Blue Rain Gallery, June 3-25. Diediker begins with biblical allegories, narratives, and concepts and creates compelling declarations about contemporary life. “To me,” says Diediker, “they represent timeless ideas and situations. I have made an attempt to take these biblical concepts and, through contemporary subject matter, bring them closer to the viewer.” Diediker uses chiaroscuro, bold colors, and impressionism to bring his work to life.
