SCOTTSDALE, AZ | April is a blockbuster month at Legacy Gallery, which hosts three separate and exciting events back to back. First is the Scottsdale Art Auction on Saturday, April 2. An exceptional source for important western, wildlife, and sporting art, it’s a “don’t miss” auction for collectors. Over 300 lots will be auctioned, including paintings by both deceased and living artists such as Bert Phillips, Thomas Moran, Frederic Remington, Bob Kuhn, Howard Terpning, Clyde Aspevig, and Tim Shinabarger.
Next, from April 14 to May 2, watercolorist Steve Hanks’s one-man show features 15 new works, each reflecting his mastery of detail, color, and realism. An artist’s reception is on Thursday, April 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. Finally, the Scottsdale Salon of Fine Art opens on Friday, April 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. This brand-new juried show features over 200 paintings of figurative, still-life, landscape, wildlife, and western subject matter.
