Isis by Simon Gudgeon, featured artist at Western Visions show

Jackson, WY | Every September this scenic mountain retreat hosts the popular Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival, featuring more than 50 celebratory events including gallery openings, workshops, artists’ receptions, and concerts. The Western Visions: Miniatures and More Show & Sale at the National Museum of Wildlife Art is considered one of the highlights of the annual celebration. This year’s show takes place on September 17 and presents works by top painters and sculptors from across the country. Painter Mary Roberson and sculptor Simon Gudgeon are the featured artists. Another highlight of the fall festival for collectors is the annual Jackson Hole Art Auction, presented by Trailside Galleries and Gerald Peters Gallery. The live auction unfolds on September 18 at the Center for the Arts and features works by major contemporary artists as well as deceased masters. In the past, important works by C.M. Russell, Maynard Dixon, Clyde Aspevig, Kenneth Riley, Mian Situ, and Howard Terpning have come up on the auction block.
