Art Education: I’ve had a love for art since I was very young and would study great works of art in museums and galleries I visited. I attempted to emulate the qualities in the works I saw. Later I was able to take several classes and workshops, which empowered me with a deeper understanding of what is needed to produce a great work of art.

Style: I do not think about having a painting style. I simply try to be truthful to myself when I paint.

Creative Spark: I find beauty in everyday life, but my greatest inspiration comes from nature. During my early childhood I lived in a rural town called Hukou in Taiwan. Being surrounded by the amazing landscape every day made me realize how incredibly beautiful the natural world is.

Other Passions: I am also passionate about music, and I enjoy playing the euphonium.

Best Advice Received: To never be afraid of failing. It is what’s learned during the experience that truly counts.

Favorite Work by Another Artist: I keep going back to a painting by John Singer Sargent titled MOSTLY ALLIGATORS. The incredible composition, draftsmanship, and paint handling inspires me every time I see it.

Future Goals: To continue to improve my craft and become adept with every type of subject.

Price Range: $600 to $3,300.

Representation: Waterhouse Gallery, Santa Barbara, CA; Bella Muse Gallery, Provo, UT; InSight Gallery, Fredericksburg, TX; Wilcox Gallery, Jackson, WY.
