California
Art Education: Immersive apprenticeship with artist David C. Gallup, the guidance of Stefan Baumann, and the friendship of many other great artists. Also I have grown through exploration of
self, my artistic perception, and human nature.
Style: Currently my work falls within the broad category of contemporary impressionism.
Creative Spark: The journey
of awakening that I see reflected by designs found in nature excites me to express insights that I hope the viewer can discover in a personal way.
Second-Choice Career: Poet and lyricist.
Other Passions: There are no passions besides art. The objects of my passion become art in my mind’s eye. Though besides painting I also find art in philosophy, walking through nature, swimming in the ocean, and life with my love, Kelcie.
Best Advice Received: To be in love with the now as it is.
Biggest Fear: Not being enough.
Pet Peeve: Holding on to peeves.
Quirkiest Trait: I have been said to have the spirit of a 3-year-old.
Mantra or Motto: From Henry David Thoreau, “It’s not what
you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”
Favorite Studio Music: While I love listening to music, I can be influenced emotionally, so unless there is a specific song which I feel complements the piece I am working on, I will typically work without music.
Favorite Work by Another Artist: SAFETY STOP WITH ANTHIAS by David C. Gallup.
Future Goals: Continually carv-
ing an authentic path and eventually contributing to the evolution of art.
Price Range: $600 to $20,000.
