ART EDUCATION: Bachelor of fine arts from the Pensacola Christian College in Florida.
STYLE: My work is primarily representational.
MOST INTERESTING THING ABOUT THE WAY YOU WORK: I would say it is my brushwork. The application of paint can always say a great deal about an artist’s work.
SECOND-CHOICE CAREER: I have always enjoyed ancient history. At one point I was considering pursuing a Ph.D. in history.
BEST ADVICE RECEIVED: The artist and teacher John F. Carlson said in his landscape book, “In art, intentions have no place, only results.” These words have had a profound impact on my work.
CREATIVE SPARK: I have always been inspired by God’s wonderful creation. The more that I paint, the more I am aware of the endless possibilities ever present in nature.
ONE THING MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU: I favor the Scandinavian cultures in my work, namely Icelandic.
FUTURE GOALS: I am pursuing a career in gallery art and teaching art.
