Art Education: I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida. After college I worked with Carrie Jadus as her artist assistant for a year at her studio and gallery, Soft Water Studios, in St. Petersburg, FL.

Style: Realism, while expressing that experience of awe that is sublime.

Creative Spark: My passionate love of horses, animals, and the American West. Getting out in the field with my camera and sketchbook have blessed me with the most memorable experiences of watching wild animals while my soul bonds to the land itself.

Other Passions: Horseback riding, being outdoors, hiking, wildlife and bird watching, whitewater rafting, road trips, visiting national parks, and rodeos.

One Thing People Don’t Know About You: Before I get to work in my studio, the first thing I do is get down on my knees and give thanks to God. I thank Him for everything that He has given me.

Best Advice Received: Bob Canning, my mentor, told me, “Go to the studio every day, find something you like to do, keep doing it, and always progress and explore.”

Favorite Studio Music: Chris LeDoux, Buddy Red Bow, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Mariee Sioux, John Prine, Marty Robbins, and Pearl Jam.

Favorite Work by Another Artist: I love practically every painting by Georgia O’Keeffe, Bonnie Marris, Bev Doolittle, Frederic Remington, and Charles M. Russell.

Future Goals: Continue to create bodies of work in wildlife, western, and equine subject matter. Seek and gain gallery representation out West.

Price Range: $85 to $3,745.
