Art Education: I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in fine art at the Oregon College of Art and Craft.

Style: Representational.

Creative Spark: Nature is my biggest source of inspiration.

Second-Choice Career: I would like to be a professor in painting, but I am very open to other opportunities.

Other Passions: I like ultra-running. Currently I am trying to figure out the 50-mile distance.

One Thing People Don’t Know About You: I have horrible insomnia. Sometimes I don’t fall asleep until 4 a.m. I found that yoga helps quiet the mind. I highly recommend yoga to everyone.

Best Advice Received: “You’ll figure it out.” It’s something my dad said to me a lot when I was growing up, and I think it taught me to rely on myself and not be dependent on others. It also taught me to think creatively in any situation.

Biggest Fear: Bears. Have you seen The Revenant? It’s my favorite movie, hands down, but it fully affirmed my fear of bears.

Pet Peeve: People wasting my time.

Quirkiest Trait: Just one?

Mantra or Motto: “Whatever works.”

Favorite Studio Music: Right now it’s Fleetwood Mac and Leonard Cohen.

Favorite Work by Another Artist: Anything by Ivan Aivazovsky. He is a Russian painter from the 19th century. He painted absolutely stunning seascapes.

Future Goals: I would like to run a 100-mile race. I have been running seriously for about three years, gradually increasing my weekly mileage. Running 100 miles would be an incredible accomplishment for me.

Price Range: $3,000 to $5,000.
