Art Education: I am currently completing my master’s degree in art education at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. I am studying and working my way toward becoming an art teacher for a public middle school.
Creative Spark: My creativity comes from my siblings. I am the oldest daughter and the third child of nine children. I was given the position of being Mom No. 2 to my six youngest siblings, and they were always filled with imagination, creative thoughts, and aspirations. Whenever I would have artist’s block, they were always there to give my creative mind an extra boost to draw and paint again.
Second-Choice Career: A welder. I was, and still am, attracted to anything related to vehicles, steel, and how things work. I am a hands-on, kinesthetic learner. I like building 3-D models, whether out of construction paper, popsicle sticks, cardboard, or metal.
Other Passions: I love exploring, whether it be another city, state, or country. Exploring leads to learning, which leads to an enrichment of one’s knowledge. I also have a passion for playing the piano and soccer.
One Thing People Don’t Know About You: I like to watch anime and Korean shows.
Biggest Fear: Not being successful after so many years of studying.
Quirkiest Trait: I like to complete math equations when I am stressed with homework.
Mantra or Motto: “Don’t worry about a thing/’cause every little thing gonna be alright,” from Bob Marley.
Future Goals: Work at Six Flags after retirement. I want to be that person on the mic who never gets to “one” on the countdown for the scary rollercoaster.
