Art Education: Bachelor of Science in studio art from Pensacola Christian College in Florida. I also completed internships with T.J. Cunningham and Adam Clague. After I graduated, I spent the summer studying with renowned portrait artist Michael Shane Neal.
Style: I am a representational portrait painter.
Creative Spark: There is no greater spark for creativity than coffee.
Second-Choice Career: I would be a barber in my own barbershop. Throughout college, I used haircuts as a way to help pay for my tuition.
Other Passions: What really motivates me to paint is the desire to help others through my work. During my senior year of school, I worked on a painting that helped raise support and awareness for abused children. It is my hope to use my art simply as a platform to reach others who are in need.
Best Advice Received: Treat your art as a business and your clients like family.
Biggest Fear: My biggest fear is not fulfilling all the plans that God has for my life.
Pet Peeve: Society’s stifling demands on how your life should be lived.
Quirkiest Trait: I am an avid whistler, to both the joy and annoyance of those around me.
Mantra or Motto: Do your best and let God do the rest.
Favorite Studio Music: I enjoy movie soundtracks such as Gladiator, Man of Steel, and Legends of the Fall. On occasion I’ll fancy a bit of Josh Groban and The Piano Guys.
Favorite Work by Another Artist: Anything by Dan Gerhartz is inspirational gold.
Price Range: $350 to $2,900.
