Art Education: Studied fine art and graphic design at the University of Alabama.

Style: Contemporary realism.

Creative Spark: Music was my first love, and it has always been my biggest inspiration. Both of my parents have a background in music, so I grew up surrounded by various instruments. Anything from romantic classical music to doom metal kick-starts my imagination.

Second-Choice Career: Meteorologist or storm chaser. Growing up in Alabama with its yearly bouts of severe weather and tornadoes led me to have a fascination and great respect for Mother Nature.

Other Passions: I enjoy spontaneous road trips, fishing, and long walks with my Boston terrier.

Best Advice Received: Paint every day. It isn’t always easy to do, but I have noticed that I see the most improvement in my work when I am able to really put those hours in behind the easel.

Biggest Fear: If it flies and has a stinger, I will scream and run away from it in an embarrassing manner.

Pet Peeve: There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to get into my studio when I really feel the urge to paint.

Favorite Studio Music: My studio music typically ranges from Black Sabbath to The Acid.

Future Goals: My goal is always the same: to continue improving my artistic abilities every day and to see where this journey takes me.

Price Range: $350 to $3,000.
