The Three Solitudes: Betty Temple, LKisa Zawadski, Malinda Menke

All three artists work primarily in pastels and have appeared in juried shows in New Mexico and Colorado. Malinda, who prefers the intimate view of her paintings, simplifies the landscape, using underlying shapes as the foundation of her compositions and saturated colors to express the energy of the natural world. Lisa, who likes to experiment, frequently paints from memory or imagination. Betty uses various mediums and works from photographs and memory, as well as plein air, whenever possible.
