I was born in Spokane, Washington in 1934. As a child I started sketching and painting during summers at lakes north of Spokane. My formal art and design training includes one year at the School of Architecture at the University of Idaho, four years at the School of Architecture at the University of Washington and one year at the Garduate School of Architecture at the University of New Mexico. My professional career includes preparation of architectural renderings and later as Design Architect for the American pavilions at International Fairs in Cairo, Egypt,Osaka,Japan and Karachi,Pakistan. Most of my work from 1964 until 2003 involved design and constuction of housing for very poor people in developing countries with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). I am now retired and painting full time - spending winters in Florida and summers in New England and Colorado. My paintings have been selected for display in juried art shows in Florida and sold to private collectors in the USA and Europe.
