ART EDUCATION: Children’s School of Fine Arts, Soldanesti, Moldova. The University of Arts and the Technical University of Moldova, both in Chisinau, Moldova.
STYLE: My style is more impressionistic than realistic.
MOST INTERESTING THING ABOUT THE WAY YOU WORK: I think it is the combination of wet and dry brush techniques.
SECOND-CHOICE CAREER: Architect or musician. I’ve tried a lot of things—design, architecture, playing guitar—but my choice is painting.
BEST ADVICE RECEIVED: It’s better to find the reasons to do something instead of looking for reasons to do nothing.
CREATIVE SPARK: I’m inspired by the world around me. It can be anything: nice light, old buildings, people, cars, boats, interesting shadows. I’m not trying to paint all these objects but to capture the mood, the atmosphere of the place.
FUTURE GOALS: Improving my painting skills and becoming a professional painter so I can paint full time.
PRICE RANGE: $500 to $1,000.
